Terms & Conditions:


  • Terms: 1% 10 days or net 30 days, on net amount of invoice, with approved credit. Terms are from date of invoice.

  • Prices: F.O.B. Sconza Warehouse, Oakdale, CA 95361 or Bolingbrook, IL 60440 – call for full truckload freight quotes.

  • Pick-up appointments are required for all shipments from any location.

  • There is a holding fee of $50.00 per day for orders that do not ship within 7 days of the scheduled pick-up appointment.

  • Minimum: 100 pounds total order (may combine bulk and packaged).

  • Sconza accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Card.  No cash discount on credit card payments.

  • Sorry, no COD shipments – no exceptions.

  • Back-orders are handled on an order-by-order basis.

  • Sconza will pay freight on the customer’s behalf, and add the freight cost to the invoice, only under special circumstances. If Sconza does so, there will be a handling charge of 20% to cover administrative costs of securing competitive freight rate quotes and making arrangements. Sconza will use all our contacts and our best efforts. Sconza cannot guarantee the lowest rate in the marketplace.

  • During the warmer months chocolate will be shipped refrigerated or with ice packs. Ice packing costs will be added to your invoice.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to note the count and condition of the product at the time of delivery. The customer has 72 hours to submit a damage claim. Failure to do so may prevent recovery for loss. In the event of damage or shortage, the customer is required to document the damage or shortage on the delivery receipt/bill of lading. Please keep the damaged product for trucking company inspection.

  • Freight Claims:

    • If it ships freight collect: Customer pays trucking company for freight charges, owns the product in transit, and files freight claims.

    • If it ships freight prepaid and the freight cost is added to invoice: Sconza pays freight charges and bills customer for freight, owns the product in transit, and files freight claims.

  • No returns allowed without approval. Please contact Customer Service for a Return Authorization Number and instructions.  Returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. All requests for returns must be made within 10 days of receiving the product.

  • All deductions must be approved. Unauthorized deductions will be charged back and include a $50.00 processing fee.

  • Past due accounts may be subject to a 1½ % finance charge per month on delinquent balances.

  • Past due accounts must be paid before additional orders ship.

  • We reserve the right to change credit status based on payment performance.

  • Returned checks are subject to a $50.00 fee and loss of credit terms.

  • All prices are subject to change without notice. Any item is subject to change or withdrawal without notice.

  • Prices include standard pallets, shipments requiring heat treated pallets or other special requirements will have an additional charge.
